Chum owns and adores Miss Ann Simmons of High Wycombe and was pick of Bracken's 2004 litter. A beautiful black & white dog, he has an outstanding temperament. At the LKA Champ Show in 2006, Betty Straw handled Chum to gain his KC Stud Book Number, qualifying him for Crufts for life, under breed specialist judge, Bob Tunnicliff. Rarely shown, as he's Ann's pet first and foremost, we were thrilled when judge Keith Starkey gave him the Limit Dog Class and then the Res Challenge Certificate at Windsor 2010. Chum was expertly handled by Corinne Geering. Thanks a million, Corinne ☺

Ky is owned, loved and probably spoiled rotten by my friends, Alan and Ann Hooper. They always come to help set up and run the Shield Companion Shows that I organise with Di Whiting, in aid of BC & Sheepdog Rescue. We couldn't cope without such stalwart supporters - thank you both so much.

Ky regularly goes to Dog Training classes with Ann, and at the last Shield Show, he gained the Kennel Club Bronze Good Citizen Award. One of Fizz's brothers, from Bliss's first litter, and a lovely handsome lad, Ky had some fun in the ring in 2007, three times taking Best Novelty In Show at Companion Dog Shows, as well as winning classes at Championship level.

Breeze Flyballing

Breeze only weighed 265g when she was born, but what a little cracker she's turned out to be. The Walmsley family fell in love with her on sight, and she has a whale of a time with them, going to Obedience and Flyball training. She got her 1st title, Flyball Dog, at just turned 2 years and had clocked up 1,000 points for her 2nd title, Flyball Dog Intermediate, just 4 months later. 9 months after that, Breeze had amassed yet another 2,000 points, for the Flyball Dog Graduate Title. By 3 years of age, she'd racked up over 5,000 to get the Flyball Dog Advanced title. She competed in the British Flyball Championships in 2009, and in 2010 she and her team came 2nd in their Division at the European Flyball Championships (click on the thumbnail to the right).

Quick as a flash in everything she does, and pretty as a picture, Breeze even won Best Biscuit Catcher at the October '08 Shield Show, and took Reserve Best Novelty In Show. Her tally of Flyball points now tops 10,000, so she has now achieved Flyball's Silver Award. Absolutely Brilliant! ☺

Caroline with her Foxbartons - Mist, Belle, Fern & Gracie (L-R)

Caroline Clarke is my very good friend, who, over the last 10 years, has managed to persuade her husband that she has to have four Foxbartons - Mist, Fern, Belle and Gracie! I first met Caroline when she came to see my Bracken's first litter to Sheltysham Shepherd Boy, and she chose Mist, who is my Bee's and Wally's sister. The next time I bred from Bracken, this time to Sh Ch Whenway Royal Highlander, Caroline fell in love with Fern who is Leo's sister.

Phoebe (F. Something Blue, below), is my Bee's daughter, from whom I bred a litter for her owner, sired by Mobella Tuckers Luck, and Caroline just couldn't resist her unusual Blue Tricolour pup, with a half white face, little Belle. I shouldn't let her visit, when I have a litter, because when in 2009, I bred a litter from Phoebe's daughter, Io (Foxbarton Storm Warning, below) by Leo, (F. Royal Lion JW), Caroline just had to have little Gracie.

Over the years, Caroline has become one of the lynch pins of twice-yearly clinics that I run, to help breeders get their stock tested for hereditary diseases. My vet comes for the afternon, and we have up to 50 dogs attend, whose blood samples I send to a laboratory in New York. Caroline always does a brilliant job as my Treasurer - I couldn't run my clinics without friends like her, so thank you Caroline. Kiss all your girls for me. xxxx

Brie is a litter sister of Chum (top of page), and she's owned and loved by Theresa McLeod. She's great at Flyball and gained her Flyball Dog title with 200 points in August 2006, running for the Leamington Royals. In February, she also got her Flyball Dog Intermediate title, having clocked up over 1,000 points, now running with the Leamington Hurricanes. By June 2010, she'd clocked up 3,000 points to become Flyball Dog Graduate, and quickly passed 5,000 points to gain the Flyball Dog Advanced title. Can't wait to see her representing the Foxbartons at Crufts too!

The Barnett family own and adore Josh, Jarvis and Nell. And Jarvis, (with the half white head,) is a real hero - named Foxbarton Blues And Twos, he should have been a Police Dog! He saved Karen from having her car stolen, when she was driving home late, in the dark, along a deserted road through woodland. Car-jackers pretending to be Police, flashed headlights at her and turned on a blue flashing light, forcing her to stop. One man jumped out and began to open Karen's door, and terrified, she froze. But Jarvis didn't - he shot between the front seats and stood over Karen, lips drawn back in a viscious snarl, barking like mad. The thief leapt back into his car and they shot off, but Karen got their number and rang the real Police, who caught the gang shortly afterwards. What a dog!

Megan is a gorgeous Tricolour bitch, who won the hearts of George and Barbara Hawthorne, as a pup. Barb wanted to do Agility, and Meg has certainly filled the bill, although she's so fast, Barb struggles to keep up with her. After a couple of 3rd places this season, she finally won a Beginners Jumping class, at UK Agility, completing her round in just 19.22 secs - a full 5 secs clear of the 2nd placed dog! No wonder Barb has to work so hard! Phew!

I so wanted to keep Amy. She's just my type - a beautiful tricolour bitch, with so much presence, even as a pup. But I can't keep them all, living in a bungalow, so I let her go to Debbie Martin, who fell in love with her. Coincidentally Debbie runs Busy Bee Dog Training, on the Isle Of Man and Foxbarton Busy Bee is my Bracken, Amy's Grandam. It seemed that Debbie was just meant to have her.

Debbie trained in Canine Behaviour under the late, great John Fisher and has represented the Isle Of Man at Crufts 3 times, in Obedience, with her older BCs. She does Obedience and Agility with Amy who thoroughly enjoys both disciplines and is a great character.

Debbie is also a great help, raising funds for me for BC & Sheepdog Rescue, so thanks a million, Debbie and fingers crossed Amy will make the Crufts Obedience team for you, one day ☺

Skye is another of Foxbarton Royal Lion JW's beautiful daughters, and she's a real chip off the old block - just compare her to the photos of Leo (on his page), and my Bliss, her half sister, Foxbarton Lady In Waiting JW CDex.

If only I lived in a bigger place, I'd have kept Skye for sure, and shown her - she is absolutely exquisite, and I've always been a sucker for a beautiful Tricolour. But as you can see from the photo, Skye is owned and adored by Regan Spiers and she really has a great life with her - they do Agility and Obedience and Regan has horses too, so never a dull moment for Skye!

Ken & Monica Jady live in Wales, which is stuffed with Border Collies, but they came all the way to Foxbarton for their lovely girls. Jess is a darling and as good as gold, but her wee friend, Ebba, was an escapologist, as a pup, and Ken & Monica had to make some pretty serious alterations to their fences to keep her in! Fortunately they live in a very quiet location, so thank goodness she never got into any serious trouble.

As a pup, she was so beautiful, I named her Io as a pet name whilst she was with me. Fiona Heenan, who owns her, happily kept the name and all her family adore Io, and she is gorgeous. When Fi wanted another pup from me, I didn't have a bitch to breed from, so asked to borrow Io. Mated to Leo, (Foxbarton Royal Lion JW,) she produced 3 lovely pups, and Fi chose a darling Tricoloured boy, Harley, to take home. He's a super boy and mum and son just adore one another.

Connor & Lucy - now in the USA

Connor, a gorgeous Tricolour pup, was born in the first litter I bred, so he's my Jazz's brother, and he's owned by Kathy and Alan Comeau. When Willow had a 2nd litter, they just had to have a little Black & White girlfriend for Connor, and chose Lucy. They planned to live in England, (Kathy is from the USA,) but their grandson was diagnosed with Autism and they learned that Autistic children respond very well to horses. So they bought a ranch in Wisconsin, and ultimately a couple of Shire horses. They couldn't be without Connor and Lucy, so they went back to the USA with them, and now have a great time, with all that wonderful spread to play in.
